  • Why do we need to pay for the VEP registration?
    Royal Services 21 Pte Ltd is providing a one-stop service with the help of VEP registration. The amount of $20 is for the administration fee and priority RFID tag appointment.
  • What are the documents needed to submit if my VEP registration is having issues?

  • What is the difference between your Services with VEP registration?
    All our customers who applied our services will be able to get priority RFID Tag appointments at their preferred date and location with us. Unlike customers who registered themself have to wait for the RFID Tag appointment from the JPJ Malaysia side to release to them.
  • Where do I get my RFID tag installed?
    All Singapore-registered vehicles will be notified by email once your RFID Tag is ready for collection. It will be mailed to the owner's registered address. ( If both Tng E-wallet is linked to the tag). If not you're required to be present in Malaysia at the registered venue for the RFID Tag installation.
  • How can your Company help to provide VEP Registration?
    Royal Services 21 Pte Ltd has gotten permission from JPJ Malaysia LTA to assist with the VEP registration for all Singapore registered vehicles.
  • Have issues with your VEP Registration?

  • Can I still enter Malaysia if my Road Tax or Insurance or Certificate of Entitlement (COE) has expired?
    No. Only vehicles with a valid road tax and insurance are allowed to enter Malaysia.
  • How to register for VEP?
    The owner can register online via RTD's official website at https://vep.jpj.gov.my. or engage our services to register your VEP application online via our website at https://www.royalrs21.com.(charges apply). (Please ensure that all information declared is complete and accurate to obtain the confirmation slip that will be emailed to you)
  • How can I deregister my VEP RFID tag when I don’t own the vehicle any longer?
    Kindly send the request to us at royalrcs.info@gmail or WhatsApp us at +65 8259 9422 and we will assist you accordingly, if the owner registered by themself please send the request to aduanvep@jpj.gov.my or call them at +603-79412888 and they will assist you accordingly.
  • What should I do if the previous vehicle owner have registered VEP for the said vehicle?
    Kindly send an email to them at aduanvep@jpj.gov.my with supporting documents and we will assist you accordingly.
  • Do Foreign vehicles need to register prior to entering Malaysia?
    All categories of vehicles covering private vehicles (both individual and company-owned), commercial vehicles, and embassy/government vehicles that wish to enter Malaysia are required to register VEP online.
  • How long can a foreign registered vehicle stay in Malaysia?
    Not more than 90 days.
  • Do I need to update my vehicle registration details?
    Yes. The vehicle owner is required to update all information online via the website at https://www.royalrs21.com.
  • What should I do if I have forgotten my email address or no longer use the same email address?
    Kindly send the request to us at aduanvep@jpj.gov.my or call them at +603-79412888 and they will assist you accordingly.
  • How can I check if the VEP RFID tag has expired?
    The vehicle owner can check the VEP RFID Tag expiry date from the online portal, or if you have registered your vehicle with us, we will send a reminder email 6 months prior to the expiry date.
  • What happens if I do not register for VEP?
    It is mandatory for all Singapore-registered vehicles entering Malaysia to be registered.
  • Can I enter Malaysia without obtaining my VEP RFID Tag?
    Yes, you can. Please bring along your confirmation slip and present it to the RTD officer if required.
  • Does the automated sales machine or Touch 'n Go counter accept foreign currency?
    No. Only Ringgit Malaysia is accepted at Touch 'n Go top-up counters.
  • How much is the Road Charges imposed by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to private foreign registered vehicle?
    All foreign-registered vehicles (private registered/private organization) entering Malaysia will be required to pay a Road Charge of RM20 per entry.
  • What types of vehicles are exempted from Road Charge?
    Vehicles that are exempted from Road Charge are : Any government-owned vehicle on official duty and embassy vehicles. Commercial vehicles and motorcycles.
  • What is the Road Charge rate based on (upon distance, number of days etc.)?
    Road Charge is based on per entry.
  • How do you pay Road Charge?
    You can use the Touch N' Go card to pay Road Charge or with your Touch n’ Go e-wallet app, which you have installed when you collect your VEP RFID tag.
  • What type of vehicles are subjected to Road Charge?
    Only foreign private owned (vehicles owned by individuals, companies or organizations for private usage) vehicle is subjected to Road Charge.
  • Can payments be made in cash?
    Road Charge payment can only be done via the Touch 'n Go card or with your Touch 'n Go e-wallet app, which you have installed when you collect your VEP RFID tag.
  • Is the Road Charge waived on certain days?
    The Road Charge is imposed on a daily basis upon each entry to Malaysia unless stated or declared by the Government of Malaysia.
  • Where can I top up/reload my touch 'n Go card?
    Touch ‘n Go Card can be top-up/reloaded at designated Touch 'n Go locations such as R&R, toll booths, petrol stations, convenience stores &, etc. Please refer to http://www.touchngo.com.my/ for further information.
  • What action will be taken when Road Charge is not paid?
    Road Charge is mandatory under Road Transport Act 1987. Failure to pay Road charges when entering Malaysia is an offense and the driver of the vehicle can be fined under the Road Transport Act 1987 of Malaysia.
  • Is Road Charge part of toll collection?
    No. Road Charge is not a toll fee. It is governed by the Road Transport Act 1987 Malaysia.
  • Other than Singapore registered vehicles, do any other foreign-registered vehicles be imposed with Road Charge?
    All foreign vehicles (vehicles owned by individuals, companies or organizations for private usage) will be charged RM20 when entering Malaysia.

  • Can I transfer my VEP RFID tag of my previous vehicle to my new vehicle? Can one VEP RFID tag be used for more than one vehicle?
    No. The VEP RFID Tag is unique for each vehicle and it is not transferrable. When the ownership of a vehicle is transferred to another entity, the validity of the VEP RFID tag automatically ceases. If you are the previous owner of the vehicle (transferor), you are responsible to update the vehicle ownership status. Failure to do so, you shall bear the risk of being fined for any offense possibly committed by the new owner. If you are the new owner of the vehicle (transferee), you are responsible to apply for a new VEP RFID Tag and ensure that the previous owner has updated the vehicle ownership status.
  • What to do if the VEP RFID tag is faulty?
    You will know your VEP RFID tag is faulty when it cannot be detected by the RFID reader at the CIQ complexes and it is confirmed by the RTD personnel. However, the replacement policy does not apply to tag that has been removed or tampered with. In this case, you will be charged a fee for the re-issuance of a new VEP RFID tag.
  • How much is the VEP RFID tag?
    RM10 (excluding delivery and service charges).
  • What to do if the VEP RFID tag is stolen / lost / damaged from accident?
    If the VEP RFID Tag is stolen / lost / damaged from accident, you are required to update your vehicle status from the online portal register. You are also required to produce police report to the Road Transport Department (RTD) when you collect the new VEP RFID tag. An administration fee will be imposed.
  • What is the validity period of the VEP RFID Tag?
    VEP RFID Tag is valid for 5 years only (starting from the day the VEP RFID tag is activated).
  • How can I collect my VEP RFID tag?
    The VEP RFID tag will be delivered via postage. The applicant will be contacted through email for confirmation on the postage arrangement.
